The 1000km Project
For the past few years, walking has been a defining part of who I am and how I live.
More walks, more clarity, more centeredness.
To nudge myself to keep up, I made up a year-long project: The 1000km Walk.
But then it wasn't strictly walks always. When there was a slope, walks became hikes. When I felt electric, walks became runs.
And heck, walking 1000km would take forever; running some of it felt like a mercy.
And so The 1000km Walk became The 1000km Project.
It was plenty nice and toasty for quite a bit.
And, like most projects, the start felt easy.
But not for too long. Halfway through, the days got shorter, the weather colder, and the motivation harder to find.
The kind of cold that makes you question your life choices.
79% through the year and 47km behind pace.
I shall keep going...
Are we in the same city? I'd love the company.
